Born in Beluran, Sabah, in 2000, Hendry grew up surrounded by the Sabapalm Oil Mill environment, where his father worked as an Engine Driver Supervisor. Initially studying Science Social, he later specialized as a Science Social student in Pra-Universiti at SMK Segaliud, Sandakan. At 20, Hendry delved into environmental knowledge, becoming a Laboratory Assistant at Fortuna Leong Palm Oil Mill, focusing on safe palm oil waste disposal. Seeking a deeper understanding of environmental sustainability, he became the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) Coordinator at Kim Loong Resource Berhad. Actively pursuing knowledge, Hendry participated in various training sessions and earned certifications, including Basic Life Support & 1st Aid Training. In 2023, he took on the role of Field Coordinator for the Certificate Sustainable Palm Oil Programme at Forever Sabah Berhad, contributing significantly to achieving MSPO & RSPO certifications for smallholders in diverse regions. Hendry's journey exemplifies his dedication to environmental sustainability and continual learning in the palm oil industry.
