Born in 1987 in Kampung Kibabaig, Penampang, Charles Palun was raised in Kampung Tampasak. He honed his skills in designing and printing clothes in Selangor from 2006 to 2012, and worked as a freelancer from 2012 to 2019. In 2019, he joined the Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) project as a river ranger. Charles's dedication to preserving and protecting Penampang's waterways underscores his deep connection to his community and the environment, making him a vital advocate for sustainable development and conservation.
